THE HAIR PROS: P&G’s Sebastian Professional hair brand has partnered with social media company StyleCaster on an interactive campaign that will showcase six online readers in a high-fashion photo shoot for Nylon magazine. The initiative drew hundreds of StyleCaster.com enthusiasts, who submitted photos of themselves modeled after Sebastian Professional ads. Six winners were chosen and subsequently paired with six fashion and beauty “visionaries,” including photographer Bon Duke, DJ Harley Viera Newton and sportswear designer Chrissie Miller. Next came a makeover by the Sebastian design team and photo shoot with photographer Nicholas Routzen, which will be featured in Nylon’s February issue and on StyleCaster.com. “In working with Sebastian, we have been able to create meaningful and actionable connections directly between users and the visionaries who inspire them,” said David Goldberg, president and co-founder of StyleCaster Media Group. A multimedia launch event will be held at Darby Downstairs on Jan. 25.
