RED LINING IT: Just ahead of unveiling its collaborative collection with the Been Trill art and DJ collective and streetwear label next week at London Collections: Men, Harvey Nichols is getting behind another street-inspired brand. On Wednesday evening, the Knightsbridge department store hosted a preview of a collection it has launched together with the London label Trapstar, which will have only a red line symbol as its brand name. The 11-piece collection draws on military and sportswear influences, and includes designs such as printed jeans, T-shirts and sweatshirts, along with statement pieces such as a hooded cape. The fall 2014 collection launched at Harvey Nichols Thursday [EDS - JUNE 12] and prices start at 145 pounds, or $243 for a T-shirt, to 1,410 pounds, or $2,365, for a suede biker jacket. Darren Skey, head of men’s wear at Harvey Nichols, said the launch was the start of “a new era at Harvey Nichols. We are growing our contemporary offering and will be bringing a number of new brands to inject the energy back into our contemporary room,” said Skey, noting that more labels are due to launch in the room in the fall.
